Manisha Mehta has proven to be a quick study.

  • An immigrant from India who came to America at the age of 10, Manisha graduated from public schools and went on to earn a finance degree from the University of Houston
  • Manisha worked in the insurance industry for sixteen years before taking a break to raise her family
  • Manisha now runs her own business
  • Manisha has continued to be active in her children's activities and community service
  • Manisha has been married to Nikhil for 18 years; he is a former NASA engineer who now is himself a small business owner. They have two children.

Manisha Mehta will provide a fast response.

  • Constituent Service - Manisha will use the skills she learned in her business to setup an efficient constituent service systems
  • Public Safety - In the insurance field Manisha is confronted everyday with the results crime and disaster. She will make it her priority to ensure District E has quality police, fire and EMS service; proper drainage; and a sound emergency response plan
  • Quality of Life - Manisha knows that families move to District E neighborhoods for their quality of life; she will protect that lifestyle by working to reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality and protect the integrity of our residential neighborhoods
  • Business Sense - Manisha will also bring her financial planning background to City Hall to serve as your watchdog when it comes to how your tax dollars are being spent
